Equine Veterinary Dental Services
Objectives
of this equine externship are:
1. to learn how to perform a complete
dental examination including charting
2. to learn field sedation and
anesthesia for common dental procedures
3. to learn common dental
therapies, and 4. to learn dental radiographic techniques and
interpretation.
Dr. Reiswig is an Equine Fellow in the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry.
General dentistry and Equine dentistry personal library. Weekly radiographic rounds will be given.
Be
on time and be able to participate from 8 am to 5 pm Monday through
Thursdays. There will be some reading assignments depending on
knowledge level. Daily observations and discussions of examinations,
radiography and dental therapies with Dr. Reiswig.
Eight hours per day for 4-5 days per week.
