Description Animal Care Center of Plainfield is a high volume practice open 7 days a week. It is also home of the Humane Society of Plainfield. In addition we operate Mallard Point Veterinary Clinic, Hinsdale Animal Hospital, and Oswego Animal Hospital.

Description Students will gain experience in both clinical animal behavior and shelter behavior. Students will participate in behavior appointments with private clients, under direct supervision of a behavior specialist. Students will observe and participate in canine and feline behavior evaluations of shelter animals, participate in discussions of shelter pets' training programs, set up training programs for shelter pets, and participate in training programs. Opportunities also exist to participate in our shelter medicine program and Center for Shelter Dogs research projects.

Safe Harbor Farm is a private shelter with a high-volume, high-quality, low-cost spay-neuter clinic targeting low-income & multi-pet households (The Kindness Clinic). Located in rural Jones County, N.C., Safe Harbor Farm sits next to the Croatan National Forest, 30 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean.

Description Comprehensive shelter medicine experience. We are an open intake shelter that takes in approx 45,000 animals/yr. Students will gain experience in high volume spay/neuter, emergency and critical care of sick/injured stray animals, orthopedic and spay/neuter surgeries.
