General practice seeing birds, reptiles, amphibians, pocket pets, and fish in both clinical and housecall setting. Medicine and surgery of companion animals including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and fish as well as wildlife. Areas of practice include wellness care, elective surgery, medical and surgical treatment of diseases, and herbal medicine.

Student externs will actively participate in patient care and accompany DVM during client visits. Student should be Punctual and engaged, and prepared to place IVs, take radiographs, collect laboratory specimens, inducing anethesia, monitoring, perform necropsies, assist in care of wildlife, perform minor surgical procedures

10-12 hours per day, 5 days per week, with the opportunity to participate in after hours emergency care.
