Clinical
rotation on combined medical, surgical and radiation oncology rotation.
This clinical rotation does not have formal night weekend shifts
however students may have calls in the hospital that require care on
weekends.
This
Clinical Oncology rotation is a very busy rotation. We see many new
cases every day and at least 30 rechecks per week. We have morning and
afternoon rounds every day. Students are required to be at the hospital
7:30am to 5:30pm when they have active cases.
CSU
has computers that externs are able to use.
Our visitors are permitted
to get into our medical records during their stay.
Topic rounds are
three times per week.
Seminars are available for all to attend.

Students
are expected to attend morning and afternoon daily rounds. Team work
is stressed during the elective. Clear communications guidelines are
established during orientation.
At least 40 hours per week the student will be supervised by veterinarians.
