Small Animal Practice with some Exotics and Wildlife and Introduction to Chinese Herbal, Chiropractic and Acupuncture. This is a very busy 5 doctor practice. We have digital x-ray and ultrasound so we practice intensive internal medicine. We bring in a board certified surgeon at least once a week, mostly for orthopedic work. Preceptors will be directly assisting our veterinarians and doing everything from performing physical exams to developing and implementing treatment plans. They will also be assisting in surgery and performing surgery on strays. If desired the student may spend time assisting our holistic veterinarian.

Responsibilities
- Perform Physical Exams
- Write complete SOAP
- Perform spays/neuters with immediate supervision of veterinarian on staff
- Perform all procedures that are performed by our certified veterinary technicians
- Interpret lab results
- Communicate with clients in the exam room setting and with hospitalized cases
- Develop treatment sheets
- Be responsible for in-patient care

8-10 hours per day 6 days a week
