The Council on Education of the
American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) is the accrediting body for colleges
of veterinary medicine.
The Ohio State University
College of Veterinary Medicine received full accreditation from the AVMA in
March 2007.
The next site visit of the
College by the AVMA Council on Education is expected in Fall of 2013.
The 2011 pass rate for students of our College on the North American Veterinary Licensing Examination (NAVLE) was 99% (136/138) as compared to an 80% pass rate required by the AVMA Council on Education's Outcomes Assessment standard.
