Clients and friends of The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center will gather at the College of Veterinary Medicine on Saturday, June 5 at 11 a.m. at the Veterinary Medicine Academic Building, 1900 Coffey Rd., for the second annual "Remembrance Ceremony," honoring the lives of their pets that have died during the past year. Participants have submitted photographs for a slide show that will be included as part of the ceremony. More than 125 people are planning to attend the event, several from out of state.

"One Health" explores efforts to address the links between animal health, human health, and our environment.
At Ohio State, the concept of one health allows us to address a triple threat to health in an integrated way. The College of Veterinary Medicine recognizes the importance of addressing issues in animal health, human health and environmental health. We are expanding several programs to meet the challenges in all three areas.

The Comparative Pathology & Mouse Phenotyping Shared Resource, within the Department of Veterinary Biosciences, provides expert, readily available and affordable experimental pathology support to investigators utilizing animal models to study human disease. Pathologists and technicians affiliated with the CPMPSR are familiar with normal lab animal anatomy and physiology, as well as with background age- and strain-related lesions of various animal models, allowing for critical contextual interpretation of specimens.
