A new advertising campaign launched for the football season features great animals on the scoreboard in Ohio Stadium, as well as on television during Urban Meyer's weekly football show on WBNS-TV, Channel 10.
The campaign was made possible by a generous donor and supporter of the Veterinary Medical Center and College of Veterinary Medicine, and the :30 spots were produced by Bartha Video Productions.
On Sept. 5, the College of Veterinary Medicine celebrated the official groundbreaking of the Veterinary Medical Center Expansion and Enhancement project. Prior to the ceremonial digging, more than 350 attendees were treated to the story of Maxwell, a bull mastiff diagnosed with a serious heart condition.
The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine is assuming management of the Veterinary Medical Center- Dublin (VMC-Dublin) clinic, which opened in 2013 and is currently being managed by Veterinary Specialty Management Services (VSMS), Cincinnati, OH. The transition will occur over the next four months with Ohio State assuming full responsibility for management by February 1, 2015.
Representatives from Ohio State human resources will assist veterinarians and staff currently employed by VSMS to apply for positions as Ohio State employees.

Successful start to VMC Enhancement & Expansion
The official Groundbreaking Ceremony for the addition to the existing Hospital for Companion Animals at The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center took place Sept. 5.
Seven faculty members from the College of Veterinary Medicine will participate in the popular "Question the Authorities" sessions at the 2014 Farm Science Review being held Sept. 16-18 at the Molly Caren Farm near London, OH. Topics include livestock behavior, public health issues, antibiotic use and resistance, raw milk, and treatments and prevention of emerging diseases in livestock. See a complete list below.
Visitors to the 2014 Farm Science Review can participate in “Buckeye Fever,” an interactive game designed to expand awareness about how infectious diseases spread, sponsored by the College of Veterinary Medicine and the Public Health Preparedness for Infectious Diseases program.
