Congratulations to Faculty Award Winners and Distinguished Alumni

The College of Veterinary Medicine recognized the Class of 2012, five faculty award winners, and four Distinguished Alumni Award winners at the traditional Oath and Hooding ceremony, held June 9, 2012 in Mershon Auditorium. Below is a list of this year's award winners. Faculty awards

Tom Rosol, DVM, PhD, professor of Veterinary Pathobiology in the Department of Veterinary Biosciences, will receive the Charles C. Capen Teaching Excellence Award for Graduate Education.

Eric D. Gordon, DVM, assistant professor in the Department of Veterinary Preventive Medicine, will receive the Dean’s Award for Creativity in Teaching.

Lynne E. Olson, PhD, professor in the Department of Veterinary Biosciences, will receive the William L. Ingalls Award for Outstanding Service.

Bianca Hettlich, Dr. med. vet., assistant professor in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences, will receive the Zoetis (formally Pfizer) Distinguished Teacher Award.

Stefan Niewiesk, DVM, PhD, associate professor in the Department of Veterinary Biosciences, will receive the Zoetis (formally Pfizer Animal Health) Award for Research Excellence.
