This year’s annual College Research Day is planned for April 12. Poster presentations and awards with a keynote speech by Dr. Steven Arnoczky at noon will highlight the day’s activities. Veterinary students, residents, graduate students, and faculty in the college will have posters on display in the Veterinary Medicine Academic Building and Sisson Hall highlighting their research. The posters will be judged by teams of faculty and veterinary professionals. Travel grants are awarded to the best student poster in each of five areas of study. The awards help students fund their travel to a national or international scientific meeting to present their research.
This year’s keynote speaker, Dr. Steven Arnoczky (Ohio State DVM class of 1972) is the Wade O. Brinker Endowed Professor of Surgery in the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. He is also the director of the Laboratory for Comparative Orthopedic Research.
Poster judging will be April 11 from 2-5 p.m. for veterinary students and April 12 from 8-10:30 a.m. for graduate students. Awards will then be presented to both groups prior to the keynote speech, which begins at noon on April 12 in the Veterinary Medical Center Auditorium.
