Provides direct animal care in a clinical environment; assists with training of students in technical procedures, animal care, and handling; may rotate among treatment areas; provides clinical assistance to faculty; prepares animals for procedures; administers treatments and medicine; sets up appropriate equipment and instruments; prepares and labels specimens; transports animals; maintains and stocks treatment areas; prepares and submits charges for services rendered.
Positions available in large animal and equine. May rotate among areas as needed. Some positions may have duties that include work with animal cadavers. May require successful completion of a criminal background check. Some positions may be eligible for differential pay.
Associate degree in animal health technology or an equivalent combination of education and experience, and current registered animal health technician in Ohio.
