Buckeye Vet Prep Camp

The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine is offering a summer residential camp for entering high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors (as of Fall 2014).  This is a six day residential camp that give participants an opportunity to learn more about veterinary school and the profession.  If you love science, animals and working with people you don't want to miss out on this opportunity to explore the diverse career options in veterinary medicine.  

This is a residential camp! All students are required to stay in the dorms at The Ohio State University.  Males and underrepresented minorities are encouraged to apply. Admission is competitive.  Approximately forty students will be accepted.  

Place:  OSU College of Veterinary Medicine, 1900 Coffey Road, Columbus, OH 43210

Dates: Sunday, June 14 - Friday, June 19. 2015

Time:  This is a residential camp.  All campers are required to stay in the dorms.  

Cost:  $600 (residential camp) Need based scholarships are available; Application fee $30 (non-refundable)

Essay

Question # 1 Why do you want to attend Buckeye Vet Prep Academy.  In your essay, please be sure to include what you have to learn and experience during the camp (500 word maximum).

Question #2 Describe the greatest challenge you have faced and how you worked to overcome that challenge (250 maximum).

Two recommendation forms
