Resize Panels

Carmen :Quick Homepages

Each Panel on the homepage can be resized, width-wise, to increase or decrease the visibility of the panel.

Click the Panel Sizes (Panel sizes) link.

Change the width of the homepage panels

From the Panel Sizes pop-up window you are able to change the percentage of the screen each panel (left, center and right) occupies.

Typically there is no need to change the individual panel sizes as they will automatically resize themselves based on the type of information in each.

Example

You include an image in the right panel that is 400 pixels wide. This will automatically increase the percentage of the screen the right panel occupies while decreasing, proportionally, the amount of the screen the left and center panels occupy.

Note: Percentages must equal 100%. If you enter percentages that do not equal 100% Carmen will automatically adjust your settings, proportionally, based on what you entered.

If you make any changes in the percentage width of the panels make sure you save your changes by clicking the Save (Save) button at the bottom right of the Panel Sizes pop-up windows.

Change the size of each panel

If you made any changes to the panel sizes you will see the effect of your changes on the Edit Homepage screen upon Save.

Note: Panel sizes were changed to left 40%, center 50% and right 100%. Carmen proportionally changed the panel sizes to correctly fit the screen. New panel sizes are left 21%, center 26% and right 52%. If panel sizes are entered that do not equal 100% Carmen will resize the panels to fit 99% of the screen.
