Once you have saved your widget click the Customize tab.

On the Customize tab you can change the look of your widget. Available options include:

Widget Box Settings

• Border
  • Allows the widget to include a box around it
  • Unless otherwise changed, all course widgets include an outlining box to distinguish them from other widgets on the course homepage
• Box Style
  • Allows the width of the outlining box to be changed
  • Options include a one (1) or two (2) pixel solid line like the one shown outlining the image to the right

Widget Title Bar Settings

• Show the title bar
  • Allows you to show or remove the title of the widget from displaying
  • Unless otherwise changed, all course widgets include the name of the widget for ease of finding them on the course homepage
  • The widget title appears in a gray bar at the top of the widget
• Title Bar Color
  • Allows you to change the color of the widget title bar
  • Options include dark gray (Dark color), dark red (Light color), light gray (Soft color) and a Custom color
    • Selecting the Custom color option provides a dropbox where you can choose a color from the standard Windows color choices for text backgrounds
• Widget Title
  • Allows you to change the name of the widget as displayed in the title bar
  • This does not change the name of the widget as shown in the listing of widgets
• Title Color
  • Allows you to change the color of the text that appears in the widget title bar
  • Selecting the title color option provides a dropbox where you can choose a color from the standard Windows color choices for text
• Title Alignment
  • Allows you to change the positioning of the title in the title bar
  • Options include Left, Center and Right
• Expand/Minimize
  • Allows you to prevent students from manually minimizing or removing the widget from view on the course homepage
  • If the Expand/Minimize checkbox is unchecked () the widget will remain expanded on the course homepage (default)
  • If the Expand/Minimize checkbox is checked () students will be able to remove it from view on the course homepage during their session in Carmen. This does not permanently remove the widget from the course homepage for other students.

Remember to click the Save () link if you make any changes

You are now ready to add Release Conditions to your widget, if applicable.
