This is a typical Carmen course shell showing the default tools available to faculty and students. This view is instructor view. Note the Edit Course link at the top right of the tool bar. This is where, as an instructor, you will make most of your modifications to your Carmen course except, however, for News. Students do not see the Edit Course link when accessing their Carmen courses.

To create, edit and view News postings you will utilize the News editing icons: Add News item Re-order News items Edit item Delete item You will also want to make sure your 'role' in the course is set to the default of Instructor. This can be changed at the bottom left of the Carmen Course Homepage.
Once you are ready to begin creating a new News item, click the Add News Item () icon.
