| To change what appears on the homepage and the layout of the homepage click the Content/Layout tab. | ![]() |

The Content/Layout tab reveals how the widgets are positioned on the homepage. From this screen you are able to add or remove widgets from the homepage as well as change the order in which they appear. The homepage is broken up into Panels. You can edit display options, move up or down, move to a different panel or remove from the homepage each of the widgets assigned to a particular panel.
To do this simply click the Dropdown Menu ( Since we noted in the description of this homepage we were going to have it display the NYT Science News and Google Search in the right panel we need to remove the two widgets that currently reside in the right panel.

Confirm you want to remove the Instructor Tips widget from the right panel by clicking the Yes ( Repeat the process to remove the Teaching Technologies widget from the right panel. |

Once you have removed the two widgets that originally resided in the right panel you are ready to add the two widgets we noted in the homepage description.

From the Add Widget pop-up window scroll through the available widgets to find the NYT Science News Feed and Google Search widgets (widgets are displayed in alphabetical order).
Select each widget by clicking the Checkbox (

| Once you have found the Google Search and NYT Science News Feed widgets and have checked them to be added to your homepage, click the Save ( |

Once you have added the Google Search and NYT Science News Feed widgets to the right panel of your homepage you can reorder them by clicking the Dropdown Menu ( Add additional widgets to the left, center or right panels by following the instructions as noted above. Note: Adding too many widgets to the homepage will clutter the homepage and reduce the effectiveness of any information provided to students. |
