Carmen Quick Lessons
Welcolme to Carmen Quick Lessons!
This is the place to go to learn how to setup and use the tools available to you in Carmen, the university's course management system. Each of the online tutorials offered here was created by CVM personnel.
Choose your tutorial from the listing on the left.
Generic information is also available on the OIT website for Carmen.
Each lesson is divided up into sections which provide detailed information on how to configure that portion of the Carmen tool. Each section will take approximately 15 - 20 minutes to complete. Pace yourself. Review all the information and you should be able to setup and begin utilizing the individual tools in your courses. A good way to practice and follow along with each lesson is to utilize one of your 693, 696 or 793 course shells in Carmen which may not be being utilized during the current quarter.
Lesson navigation is located at the bottom of each page of the lesson.
Move to the first page/screen of the tutorial utilizing the To first page Carmen icon at the bottom left of each screen
Move backward one page/screen of the tutorial utilizing the Back one page Carmen icon at the bottom center of each screen
Move forward one page/screen of the tutorial utilizing the Continue lesson Carmen icon at the bottom right of each screen
Open Carmen and choose one of your unused 693, 696 or 793 course shells in a separate window.
If you do not have an available 693, 696 or 793 course shell in Carmen please feel free to contact Ken Matthias to inquire about the possibility of utilizing another unused course shell in Carmen.
