Veterinary Medical Center expands emergency care
The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center now has two locations to serve emergency and specialty referral needs. The Veterinary Medical Center at Dublin, located at 5020 Bradenton Ave., is now open 24 hours a day to care for dogs and cats with medical emergencies.

Dec. 7 Skull Session Celebration to honor Buckeye football champions
Join the Skull Session Celebration for the undefeated 12-0 Buckeye Football Team at St. John Arena on Friday, December 7, from 7:00-8:30 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The program will feature a concert by the OSU Marching Band and a performance by the OSU Spirit Squads to honor Coach Urban Meyer and the 12-0 undefeated and Leaders Division champion Buckeye Football Team! The public is welcome, and free tickets can be reserved in advance.

Alumni reception set for AAEP annual conference
At this year's American Association of Equine Practitioners (AAEP) annual conference, The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine will host an Alumni Reception on Monday, December 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. The event will be held at the Anaheim Marriott, 700 W. Convention Way, Anaheim, CA 92802, in Grand Ballroom Salon D. Invitations for the reception will be emailed in early November.

Resident and Intern Certificate Presentation and Awards Ceremony
On June 29, the Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences and the Veterinary Medical Center held the 2012 Resident and Intern Certificate Presentation and Reception at the Ohio Union. This annual event, attended by over 170 people, is a celebration of the success and achievement of our residents and interns, and marks the culmination of one phase of their careers.

Congratulations to the Class of 2012
The Class of 2012 was honored for the completion of their academic career on Saturday, June 9. Students were recognized at the Honors and Awards Ceremony where awards were given to those students who excelled in their clinical rotations. The College of Veterinary Medicine welcomed 138 new veterinarians into their chosen field at the annual Oath and Hooding ceremony.

Office of Student Affairs selects first group of student ambassadors
Twelve veterinary students, representing first, second, and third-year classes, have been chosen to become the first College of Veterinary Medicine Student Ambassadors. The ambassadors will serve as representatives at a variety of special events such as New Student Orientation, Open House, Midwest Veterinary Conference, White Coat Ceremony, Honors and Awards Ceremony, Oath and Hooding, admissions interview events, and alumni activities.
