New Alumni Society membership model approved for 2014
The Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society has approved a new model for membership. Now, sustaining alumni society members will renew their membership commitment each year through a tax-deductible gift of $50 (or more) to the fund of their choice within the College of Veterinary Medicine. We hope you will embrace this new model - which follows the model of the Ohio State Alumni Association - and view it as an opportunity to continue to build a cohesive, committed and influential alumni body for the college. The goal of the Alumni Society continues to be to support the college and our students. More information will be available in the annual membership mailing being sent to all college alumni in early February.
Ohio State Veterinary Medical Center achieves AAHA Accreditation
The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) has achieved the highest level of veterinary excellence at both locations following a thorough evaluation by the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA). The VMC-Columbus and the VMC-Dublin have both earned AAHA accreditation. The VMC-Columbus has now been continuously accredited since 1975 (38 years), and the VMC-Dublin achieved this important status after being open for just six months. The accreditation process includes a rigorous review of the hospitals' patient care, practice protocols, medical equipment, facility and client service. Read more about the accreditation here.
