Pledge to end the stigma of mental illness
Thank you for those of you that helped LGVMA lobby our AVMA to include gender identity and gender expression in their updated non-discrmination policy. Our old-fashioned letter writing campaign worked! Yesterday, the AVMA leadership team voted unanimously to include both categories.
Each year, The Women's Place produces the Status Report on Women at Ohio State. The report uses data to evaluate progress toward increasing diversity and promoting equity for women.
Lesson of perseverance from ‘Hidden Figures’
The Lesbian and Gay Veterinary Medical Association (LGVMA) received a $25,000 grant from leading, animal health provider, Merial - now part of Boehringer Ingelheim. The grant will be used to support the LGVMA strategic plan for advocacy, wellness and veterinary student support in 2017.
The College of Medicine began its Humanism in Medicine Initiative to focus on ways to create a more humanistic environment in which to care for patients, educate students and residents, and pursue research. Their signature program is Medicine and the Arts, designed to help create a collaborative
