The Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) was created in 1969 and is dedicated to the same objectives as the AVMA: to advance the science and art of veterinary medicine, including its relationship to agriculture and public health. Today, SAVMA is comprised of 29 Chapters at accredited veterinary medical schools in the U.S. and Canada, and two Associates at foreign schools. With over 10,000 student members, SAVMA promotes the exchange of ideas and information, and supports student interests on issues impacting veterinary medicine. View SAVMA Information Poster.
