What to Expect

If you are coming to screen your dog or cat as a potential blood donor, we will ask you some questions about your pet. After that, you can either wait or leave your pet with us for a couple of hours. We will perform a physical exam and we will draw blood to do a variety of blood tests. Once we get the results back, we will contact you to let you know if your pet has qualified as a blood donor.

If your pet is scheduled for blood donation, you can drop him/her off in the morning and pick him/her up in the afternoon, or you can wait in the lobby for 1 to 3 hours.

Your pet will receive free vaccines, food, heartworm and flea preventive medication, and annual blood work as long as he/she is in the blood bank program. Learn more about donor eligibility and benefits.
