Services


Our laboratory, IDMEL, offers various services in the area of pathogen banking, Phenotyping and genotyping. This service is conducted primarily on a collaborative basis. Minimal fee to recover costs incurred in processing specimens is charged.

Currently, our main collaborators and partners include the OSU- Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), The Wilds, and North Carolina State University (NCSU). Click here to see services that we currently offer and fee schedules. The most common test services offered include:

  • Bacterial isolation (Salmonella and Campylobacter)
  • Phenotyping (serogrouping and antimicrobial susceptibility testing).
  • DNA fingerprinting (PFGE,AFLP and MLST)
  • Molecular Detection (PCR)
  • Pathogen banking
