Submitting an Abstract

Procedure

Please review these instructions before attempting to submit your abstract.

  1. Review the required format.
  2. Create your abstract in the required format using any word processing program.
  3. When the abstract is prepared, submit it through the Online Abstract Submission Form.
  4. The form is located on a secure server, which requires that you log-in using your University username and password. The log-in page provides contact information if you have forgotten your University username and password.
  5. Entering your username and password takes you to a two-part submission form.
  6. The first part asks for information regarding the presenting author (name, department, email, phone, advisor etc.) and requests that you choose a category for the abstract and supply keywords.
  7. Category choices are:
    • Immunology and Infectious Diseases
    • Molecular and Cellular Biology
    • Structure/Function (Includes Endocrinology, Physiology, Pharmacology, Toxicology)
    • Clinical Research
    • Epidemiology and Applied Research
  8. When the form is complete, click the "Submit" button, which will send Part I to Michele and take you to Part II. Clicking the "Submit" button sends an email to Michele, so please don’t "submit" until you have Part I completed properly and the abstract written and ready to send as an email attachment.
  9. Part II shows the material you submitted in Part I and provides a link (Attach your Abstract) that will open an email to Michele Morscher.
  10. Attach your abstract file to this email, type "Abstract" in the subject line, and hit "send".
  11. This will complete the submission process and send the information to Michele.
  12. Either exit the system, or return to the Research Day website using the link provided.
