Biomedical Imaging Signature Program

The Biomedical Imaging Signature Program (BISP) was established in October of 2005 under the leadership of Dr. Tod Drost, Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. BISP is the newest of the signature programs to be formed and is still in its growing stage. BISP meets every other Wednesday during Fall, Winter and Spring Quarters and averages 17 people per meeting. The participants, presenters and attendees include people from the College of Veterinary Medicine; College of Medicine, Division of Imaging Research; Biomedical Engineering; Electrical Engineering; Ohio Supercomputer Center; and University Laboratory Animal Resources. This first year mainly focused on imaging resources (equipment and personnel) that are available here on campus. Plans for the upcoming year include to continue to invite speakers from across campus to introduce us to their niche of biomedical imaging and to interweave sessions about specific disease topics and discuss the role of imaging in these diseases.

Meetings are held bi-weekly, on the first and third Wednesdays of the month.
