Orthopedic Surgery
You need to do orthopedic surgery on Max's femur. (The skin is cut over the fracture and the muscles over the broken bone are separated without harming nearby vessels and nerves. Next, the bone is reduced (put back together) and held in place with special instrument clamps. A plate held with special screws is placed over the fracture to hold the bones together until they heal.)
