
The objective of the clinical pathology program is to provide training in clinical chemistry, cytology, hematology, immunology, surgical pathology and molecular techniques. Trainees are directly involved in the teaching and diagnostic services of the clinical pathology laboratories. Research training for clinical pathology residents is designed to provide experience with molecular biology, transgenic animal pathobiology, virology, biochemistry, immunohistochemistry, gnotobiology, cell culture, and quantitative histomorphometry in investigation of the pathogenesis of disease.
The pathology laboratories serve the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, regional practitioners and the Columbus Zoo. Training sites include the diagnostic laboratories of the Department of Veterinary Biosciences and the State Diagnostic Laboratory at Reynoldsburg.
Review of applications will begin upon receipt and continue until suitable applicants are selected for positions beginning summer quarter (June) of the following year.
DVM from an AVMA-accredited institution is preferred. You will fill out this OSU Graduate School Application upon acceptance into the program.
