Description

The student will participate in both outpatient and inpatient cases of dogs, cats, pocket pets, reptiles and birds being presented to the general practice.  Our facility includes the following equipment; QBC, U/A and parasitology, commercial laboratories supply twice a day pick-up and are used extensively, diagnostics are also supported by ultrasound and endoscopy.

Responsibilities

The student will participate in both outpatient and inpatient cases of dogs, cats, pocket pets, reptiles and birds being presented to the general practice.  Also the student will participate in the evaluation and care of the dogs and cats presented to the Internal Medicine Clinic.  The student can expect to see 50-75 cases per week.

Student Supervision

The student will have direct access to the veterinarian 10 hours per day.
