Emergency Animal Clinic PLC

Description

The Emergency Animal Clinic has a group of four 24-hour small animal emergency hospitals in the Phoenix and surrounding area. We are a fast-paced hospital with a large caseload and a variety of both medical and surgical cases. We have over 20 doctors on staff and there is always someone available for a second opinion. Despite the pressure of emergency medicine, we offer a friendly atmosphere and enjoy mentoring and assisting one another with challenging cases. We have digital radiographs, ultrasound and in-house bloodwork. The Gilbert Clinic may offer additional learning opportunities as we have access to board-certified specialists in surgery, internal medicine, ophthalmology, oncology, dermatology and radiology. Despite access to board certified surgeons, our emergency doctors perform a variety of surgeries and manage complex medicine cases. Doctors have twice daily rounds which are a good time for externs to learn about case management. Some of our most common surgical emergencies include GDVs, dystocias, pyometras, foreign bodies (gastrotomy and enterotomy), etc. Other common emergencies include blocked cats, diabetic ketoacidosis, pancreatitis, anemia, trauma, toxicities, etc.
