
The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine invites applications for the Hans Willenegger Residency in Small Animal Surgery. The Hans Willenegger Residency was established by endowment from the Association for Osteosynthesis (AO) International and AO VET.
Preference is given to veterinarians who are Western European nationals meeting admission and immigration requirements. Qualifications include a veterinary degree and completion of a 12-month small animal internship or its equivalent. The program is a three year combined residency and graduate studies program leading to a Certificate of Residency and Master of Science degree. The resident is expected to develop comprehensive expertise and clinical proficiency in small animal general and orthopedic surgery, and to satisfy the criteria necessary to qualify for ACVS board certification.
Interested applicants should submit a letter of intent, curriculum vitae, and three letters of reference from qualified veterinarians who are familiar with the candidate?s clinical knowledge and skills.
The application deadline is November 11, 2005. The residency program begins July 13, 2006.
